Space is important from the point of view of civil and military.

Space is the last of frontiers. Even if there are rules up there, regular people cannot ever see satellites or they see only their cores. If, they have telescopes.
Spaceborne positioning is important for GPS-homing, smart munitions. And those munitions are the most effective actors on the battlefield. Also, satellites are the ultimate tools for reconnaissance missions. Military communication satellites are delivering orders to strategic missile submarines. That makes those satellites military targets.
And they can be like an eye that watches the ground. If military forces can destroy those communication satellites it can deny the SLBM submarines to get their launching codes. Destroying the positioning satellites makes the GPS ammunition ineffective.

They fly high above Earth. So regular anti-aircraft systems cannot threaten satellites.
The ground-based ASAT-capable missiles are very large tools. And they are "easy to destroy" if the weapon system can lock to those targets. The ASAT missiles also install in naval vessels.
Submarine-based ASAT weapons can destroy things like positioning satellites. Many of those land- or sea-based missiles are modified SLBM- or ICBM weapons. But larger rockets like Delta IV and its variants can rise the ASAT weapons to orbital trajectory.
But ASAT weapons can also install on aircraft. The system that bases F-15 and quite a small missile is interesting. The coordinates upload to the weapon itself. It's connected to the autopilot. Then the ASAT will drive the fighter to the right position and releases itself. And the pilot can fly the aircraft home.

And one mission of the miniature shuttles like X-37B might work as an ASAT weapon. The air-launched ASAT systems are easy to transport to the way of the targeted satellite's trajectory. Things like the Pegasus rocket can modify into an ASAT missile. And the killer satellite can wait at the orbital trajectory. The small-size satellites can use kinetic energy penetrators.

Or they can impact their targets like the NASAs Dart probe made to an asteroid. Also, the positioning and recon satellites can equip with counter-strike systems. Those systems can look like the Israeli "Trophy" system. The counter-strike system itself can be a machine gun that uses "Gyrojet" ammunition.
Gyrojet is a small rocket. And if that system uses a similar ignition system with the metal storm it denies recoil. In that kind of space machine gun, the back of the weapon is open. And that eliminates the recoil that causes problems for satellites. Maybe Gyrojet was not successful in the Vietnam jungle but the same concept can use in space weapons.
The idea is that satellites can destroy incoming missiles by using that weapon. But these kinds of systems are also effective against other satellites.
And the thing is this: weapon race will go to space. GPS satellites, along with spaceborne recon and communication systems, play vital roles in conflicts. So those satellites are a very good target for anti-satellite systems.

The Iceye system is one of the newest satellite surveillance systems.

The Finnish designed Iceye system is 16 miniature SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) satellites that can make the topography imaging that covers the entire world in one day.
Those kinds of systems are the next-generation tools for making real-time imaging from a volcanic eruption and burning forests. The thing that makes radar satellites able to see things like burning fire is a radio spectrometer. The radio spectrometer sees the gases that are released from the burning material.
And another thing that the SAR- technology makes possible is to observe the rising gases. The radar sees the rising gas above the fire point. And then, the system can detect the suspected fires. But SAR-radar-based radio spectrometers also see poisonous chemicals. The idea in radio spectroscopy is that certain atoms are stressed by using radio waves. Those atoms are sending the electromagnetic echo. This echo is visible in the monitors.
In some visions, the entire earth will cover with the cloud of radar satellites. That cloud could give radar images in seconds from any point of the Earth.
Doppler radar is two radio antennas. Those receivers observe the transfer of the target. Those antennas are visible on the roof of the vehicle in image 4. The Doppler radar means that the system measures the changes of the wavelength of the incoming object.

The Dober effect means when the object comes closer. The wavelength will turn shorter. When the object goes away. The wavelength turns longer. This thing is also used in astronomy. When the galaxy is going away from the Milky Way, its spectrum turns red. In this case, some galaxy comes closer to Milky Way its spectrum turns blue. The wavelength of electromagnetic radiation that it sends turns shorter.

The SAR radar means the rotating radar antenna. Or actually, it means moving radar antenna. So the term "double SAR" means antenna that rotates and also benefits the satellite's movement. In some SAR systems, the antennas are on a long track. And they are moving back and forth. The "regular SAR" uses separate satellite movement at its trajectory. Or the rotation of the radar antenna.

The "double SAR" systems can mount to moving vehicles. Like aircraft, trucks, or trains. And that system can have the rotating doppler radar. The moving platforms are giving those radars "double SAR ability".
The distance of those antennas determines how accurate those radars can be. And new nanotechnology-based systems can have doppler radars that are connected to kilometers-long kevlar cable. In that antenna can be thousands or even millions of small doppler-antennas. And that system can give a very accurate image. The satellite itself might use nanotechnology and integrated microchips. So it might be a very small size.

The spin launcher and other new space systems are making a revolution in space launching technology.

Spin-launcher could be the next-generation tool for launching small-size satellites.
The spin-launcher is the centrifuge that accelerates an object to a weight that is 1000 stronger than gravitation. And when the payload is released at the right moment that sling will throw the small satellite to the orbiter. The speed of the sling can increase by using a long arm.
And in some ideas fixed arm will replace by using a whip that is made by using kevlar or spider's net. The electric motor will accelerate that whip to extremely high speed. And then the hook that connects the satellite to that string will release in the absolute right moment. The hook can control by an internal computer.
And the system can use Bluetooth, WLAN, or wired communication for sending the order to release cargo. The string of spider's web is one of the strongest materials in the world. It is harder than kevlar. And kevlar ropes are used to stop aircraft on the aircraft carriers. The whip can pull in when it's not in use. And because the string is elastic and flexible. That kind of centrifuge whip can install at the bottom of the jet fighter.
When the centrifuge wanted to launch the payload will release. And the electric engine starts to rotate the whip. And when the speed of the whip is high enough. That jet fighter can turn another wing to the ground. And that thing releases the small-size satellite. That centrifugal sling can install also to HAA (High Altitude Airship) or electric engined aircraft.
The airship or that ultra-high altitude aircraft will raise the satellite to an altitude of 20-30 kilometers. And then it can send it to the orbiter. If the wire of the whip is strong enough it can connect to the Pegasus rocket. And that allows flighting that thing to a high orbiter.
The sling catapult is one of the ideas. That allows the shoot of miniature satellites to low orbiters.
Major problems with regular rockets are noise and pollution. Also, the prices of the launches are extremely high. So the spin launcher can be one of the next-generation tools for launching satellites.

The next generation things in the space systems are miniature shuttles and nuclear-powered systems.
Do you know why Lockheed SR-71 flies higher than U-2? The reason for that is that the pressure cone of the SR-71 will drive air to its motors. The supersonic cone is used in Lockheed CL-400 SunTan and "Skylon" systems.
The unusual location of the engines makes it possible that those aircraft and shuttles can pull miniature shuttle or satellite launching tanks behind them. When the system is at its maximum altitude it can start to dive. That movement can give the sling effect to that system. Which will launch to the orbiter.
The miniature shuttles are the thing that can make many types of missions. They can act as remote-controlled laboratories. But the same systems can use as the orbital fighters. The prime target for those small shuttles that can be manned or unmanned and use stealth technology could be recon and communication satellites. The miniature satellites can also operate as missiles. Those super-kamikaze drones can have an internal nuclear bomb. And if those systems are not used.
They can return the weapons to the base. Those miniature shuttles can also equip with high-power radars and other recon tools.
The Chinese unveil their miniature shuttle or hypersonic glider. The hypersonic glider can dive against things like command bunkers and aircraft carriers. The kinetic energy of those impacts is destructive. But warheads make those systems even more notorious.
When we are thinking about the satellites that kind of threat means that they must equip against those orbital ASAT systems.
One version of the counter-operations is to use so powerful telescopes in satellites. That they can be far away from Earth. In that case, distance from Earth will protect the satellite against low-orbital ASAT systems. And the satellite that is in the high position has more time to use its counter-weapons if something flies against it.

Those counter-systems can be like the Israeli "Trophy-system". That effective counter-anti-tank weapon system. Is mounted on tanks for protecting them against anti-tank weapons. But the satellites can also use it.
Or they can use kinetic energy projectiles or directed energy weapons for destroying incoming missiles. But those same systems can use for offensive attacks against other satellites.
And high-orbiter satellites can pick an opponent's recon, positioning, and communication satellites. And destroy them by using kinetic energy projectiles or directed energy weapons like lasers or microwaves.

And the nuclear reactors are giving the satellites more abilities. Fission reactors are giving energy supply to the satellites. That they can avoid strikes.
Nuclear-powered rocket engines are making those systems more maneuverable than regular systems are. Nuclear power will give satellites more power than ever before.
Nuclear engines can use to operate space probes at the asteroid belt. But they can also give energy supply for the directed energy weapon. And those weapons can use for defending satellites or for destroying other satellites.

But the nuclear reactors can give also energy to microwave and laser weapons of the satellites. Those weapons can destroy incoming missiles. But also high-power radio waves can use to jam another satellite's technology. The warning of the existence of that kind of satellite got in 1977. when the Soviet Kosmos 954 dropped from the orbiter to Canada. The Kosmos 954 was a nuclear-powered satellite.
That satellite used a lightweight nuclear reactor. That kind of power supply makes the EMP-weapon of that kind of satellite possible. In that EMP weapon, the power of satellites' radar turns so high that it destroys other satellites by burning their components. The killer satellites are meant for destroying other satellites.

Nanotechnology is one of the most powerful technologies in satellites.

In the future, nanotechnology can be a dominating tool. For military and civil space programs. When we think about the recon satellites the biggest threat to them in the future is the low-orbiter anti-satellite system. Those systems can be missiles. Or they can be direct energy weapons like high-power airborne laser systems.
The future systems might not be similar to what they are today. The nanotechnical systems would be the large group of smaller satellites that operate as an entirety.
The next-generation tool for civil and military space technology. Could be scanning optical telescopes.
Nanotechnology makes it possible to create satellites and other things that were impossible before. The telescopes that are more powerful than James Webb can use nanotechnology. The idea in those telescopes is that they are forming a linear telescope group. That telescope group is tied together in the wire. That wire is connected to the axle in the middle of the satellite. In those telescopes could be extremely long rotating wires that can rotate around.

In diagram 1 you might see the principle of that system. In the point of view of recon operations, we could say that those satellites could be the "Optically enhanced Rhyolites". Rhyolite satellites are the geostationary ELINT satellites. Those new satellites could have optical telescope sensors and active radar.
The idea of the geostationary multi-mission recon satellites is that those systems can cover the same areas by using multiple sensors. When some important things are visible. Those satellites turn their telescopes to that point simply turning the mirror. And the same time the system can turn to use radar and passive ELINT sensors.
So there is a large number of small telescopes. Connected to one satellite which is rotating them like a whip. That kind of satellite can have an extremely sharp system. And the size of the satellite can be very small. When that large telescope is needed the satellite can release those telescope groups. And when that large telescope is not needed the optical antenna can pull back in.
Large-size telescopes can be extremely good tools for astronomical systems and civil and military recon satellites. The fact is that the large telescope that is farther than the moon can make many recon missions. The large size recon telescopes can be far away from the range of the low altitude ASAT systems.

The short biography.
One of the most mysterious men in history was Nikola Tesla (1856-1943). The thing that made that man interesting was his incredible productivity. That man invented many things like some kind of UFO. That "flying saucer" could fly by using the electric arc. But was it something more than just a "heavier than air" experiment?
The best-known inventions of that man are radio-remote control systems and induction engines. He also worked with the things like death rays and things like "pure energy". Sometimes is not mentioned that Tesla graduated from college in three years. That school was planned to pass in four years. But Tesla was genius. And he passed that school sooner than it meant to pass.
Then Tesla went to Imperial technical college in Gratz. His professor made the recommendation letter to Charles-Ferdinand University, but he arrived too late. And that means Tesla ever started his Greek studies. And maybe that was lucky for people. Then he moved to Paris and after that New York where he worked for Thomas Alva Edison. Nikola Tesla died in 1943 in a hotel room that Westinghouse Company paid for him.
"Edison Machine Works on Goerck Street, New York. Tesla found the change from cosmopolitan Europe to working at this shop, located amongst the tenements on Manhattan's lower east side, a "painful surprise"(Wikipedia, Nikola Tesla). Sometimes I wonder, did regular people even know what happened behind those walls, where some of the most fantastic inventions have been created by Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla.
There is a long list of inventions that Tesla made or where he influenced.
Things like satellites and Tesla coil were invented by Nikola Tesla. He invented X-rays at the same time as Wilhelm Röntgen. And the most interesting of his inventions was the remote control, robotics, and many other things like lasers are invented by Nikola Tesla. Or that man had a strong influence on those inventions.
One time Tesla made the small loudspeaker that caused resonance to the building. And that resonance almost destroyed the house where that man worked.
But Tesla also made other interesting inventions that were mentioned as "too futuristic". The wireless electric transfer is also made by Nikola Tesla. There was also incredible things like death rays and engine that used "cosmic energy". The death rays were maybe the cathode rays that killed cells in the body of the victim. Or maybe they were the X-rays that pointed the target from multiple directions. Creating X-rays is quite an easy process. The electrons must just make to impact with the iron cathode.
The engine that used "cosmic energy" was probably the regular electric engine that used the superconducting antenna for turning the Earth's magnetic field as electricity. The idea is that the extremely low energetic (read: low temperature) object is put in the chamber.
And then the energy can travel only in one direction. If there is an antenna between the lowest-energy level particle and air that thing allows collecting energy from that flow. Or maybe Tesla used the extreme electronegative object to make the electron flow to the unit that transforms natural electrons to the electric flow in the circuit. So was that strange invention the zero-point energy system?
Tesla might have Asperger syndrome or oversensitive senses. But is there something? Was there something that was not mentioned in the official biography?
The strange thing in the life of Nikola Tesla was that he claimed to hear the fly will lay on the table. And the other thing was that he wrote in his biography "My inventions" that he could sense things in the dark like the bat.
The question is: did somebody "control Tesla"? The idea for that thing claimed was given by Sidney Gottlieb. The person who was responsible for the MKULTRA-project.
The reason for that kind of success in the field of inventions could be that somebody used the subliminal systems or "infrasound gramophone" from keeping lessons for Tesla. Or did he have the induction loop in the skull just after the skin? There is no evidence about that thing. But as we know Tesla was somehow "different". But he was a genius. And that thing means that he is one of the most incredible persons in history.

Privatizing force is the term, that means that the security companies are taking the role, what is traditionally reserved to the state. And the most modern version of this advantage is "private military corporation", what means the private corporation, what gives advice, gives training support and sometimes even take a part in conflicts. The last term means mercenary operations, what are targeted against enemy leaders, and those missions are called "assassination operations". But the private military companies are taking also new roles in the world of the military. That role is the private intelligence services, what are collecting information, what is marked confidential.
Private intelligence services are using the information, what is collected from surveillance cameras and other systems, what is meant for protecting houses and homes. Those corporations know everything about their targets, by collecting and analyzing data, what is collected from the surveillance, traffic control, and clock card systems, and they can break any person's security. But those private corporations have also intelligence satellites, and they sell those pictures, where the resolution is about 2-3 meters. And if we are thinking carefully, those companies are also interested about sending ELINT satellites to the orbital trajectory. One of the most effective ways to collect the information about phone calls and use of data is to route those things thru the own communication satellites.
Those satellites can copy those data to that company, while it sends those bytes forward. And that system can be used with normal RAID-routers, what can deliver all data from the telephone network to the satellite. Of course, those corporations are interested to launch those satellites to orbit, and that's why they might be interested in co-operation with private space companies. Also, those private military companies are interested to send killer satellites to the orbital, and they might equip with rifle-caliber small weapons like centrifuge guns, what might shoot iron balls against the target, what can destroy targeted satellites.
When we are talking about those private intelligence services connected with the military business, we must understand that the private military corporations have found the new type of role in conflicts. The brand new products of those companies are cyberwarfare, and propaganda, what mission is to turn public opinion against another side of the conflict. This is the new kind of threat to the world, what has become very complicated.

Above this text is a picture of the strange-looking vehicle, what is actually the Soviet laser tank. The purpose of this vehicle is to blind enemy satellites and destroy them at the low earth orbiter. The laser light can destroy satellites CCD-cameras and that system is used to cover military secrets in some military installations. The purpose of that system was to deny the satellites to take photographs of some areas. And in theory that was very effective. But in the real life, the problem was, that laser blinding increased the interests of some targets, and they were photographed more intensive than before.
The laser tank is equipped with multiple lasers, what gives the limited energy pulse, and the idea of this system is similar to some rockets, what have small engines, but the number of the engines is bigger. In some Russian rockets is 25 motors installed in those systems, and that should compensate the smaller power of the system. The use of the laser tank looks like some kind of disco-light, where the system switches the lasers simultaneous because that would help to keep the temperature down.
The problem with this technology, where is used multiple small size lasers is that the fog, dust, and clouds would absorb the power of the lasers, and the radiation of those lasers would not be targeted in the same place. When we are thinking about the shape of this laser-system, we might imagine, that today is more advanced laser weapons, that this laser-tank ever could be.
There is the possibility that some of the modern main battle tanks are equipped with powerful laser- or microwave systems, what are mounted to the place of the cannon or radars. Those high power lasers are looking like the normal artillery cannon, but they shoot targets with electromagnetic radiation. The problem with lasers is the cooling system, and the laser must equip with powerful coolers, or it would overheat.
The laser and microwave systems can be used to make the targeted unit's armor softer, and explore the elements of reactive armor away, what gives more effect to own anti-tank weapons. The directed energy weapons would be very effective against satellites and aircraft. Also, they might give the very good option for directed shooting weapons like anti-tank guns.

Terminators and Skynet are not the fantasy anymore. Modern military technology allows making so horrifying weapons, that they would not believe as true. One of the most modern military systems is intelligent mines. what choose their targets. In those mines is the smart component, what is communicating with other systems, and in the real life that means, that own tanks and military personnel can drive or walk over those mines, and the smart component would read the RFID-sensors from their boots or vehicles. This means that own operators would not explode the mines, and that makes them very dangerous.
But when the enemy comes the piezo-electric components feel the pressure but they would not see the recognition sensor, and that allows to explore the mine. Same time the small computer, what is in the mines would send the information of the detonation to the command center, what will send drone or reconnaissance aircraft to check the situation. But when we are talking about the terminators and other military automation, we must realize that also the new human-shaped robots can be used in the combat area from the very long distance.
The satellite control allows that the command team can control the action of those robots from another side from the Earth. That high-class automation is allowing that those robots can operate very independently, and they can be supported by aircraft, what is modified to flying computer centers. Those next-generation command aircraft would be manned, but they can also be used by using remote-desktops and another kind of things, what the modern technology allows to use.
These systems can communicate with robots by using radios or Lasers, what is more, difficult to jam than radio waves. The man-shaped robots can use the same systems as humans. So they can work on the same missions with humans. In this case, the man-shaped robots can fly aircraft, drive vehicles or operate as the infantryman. And if the aircraft would shoot down the robot can be re-program to operate as the infantry soldier, what would cause terrible situations in the back of enemy lines.
They can also break into the enemy command center and open the fire. This is what makes those units so dangerous. They cannot tell, who have given those orders because their memories could be cleaned. And of course, they can have internal bombs, what detonates them after the mission. This is the modern military technology, what is very effective against any enemy in the world. The GPS satellites are not so easy to target as people think (Installing "Trophy-system into satellites)

GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) is a very good target for ASAT (Anti Satellite Weapons) because this satellite is giving the data for positioning for satellite-guided weapons like JDAM (Joint Direct Attack Munition) and GPS guided bombs and missiles. Those weapons allow that combat aircraft would close in the target in free angle, and that makes those weapons so effective.
The GPS is the easiest way to locate the position of the own troops, warships, and aircraft. GPS is also used in the safety systems of some special cargo, what are the risk to get stolen like money and the nuclear weapons. This system sends the location information of those things, and that will make the stealing that equipment very difficult. If the security personnel would push the alarm button, that would send the information of emergency to the security company. And that's why GPS is the very vital role in the private or governmental security.
But if somebody would destroy the GPS-satellites the strike capacity of NATO task force will decrease, because the tactical support aircraft would need the precise information of own troops position. And that's why GPS-satellites are so important in those operations. But the use of ASAT-systems would cause big danger for those satellites. If the GPS-satellites are equipped with similar ADS-system, called "Trophy", what is used in the M-1 "Abrahms" tanks would that increase the probability of survivability, if the satellite would be getting attacked.
"Trophy"-type ADS is actually a microwave system, what uses multiple IR (Infra Red) sensors to detect incoming missiles, and then the microwave transmitter turns to those missiles, and the warhead of those missiles would be detonated too early. In the satellites that system might seem like some Sci-Fi space battle vehicle's gun turret. The similar system can easily install to the GPS-satellites, and that would allow destroying those incoming ASAT missiles. This would make some of those weapons unable to operate correctly. And that system would also be used against other satellites.

Infrasound is the fascinating thing, It can be used for many purposes, and one of them is underwater communication technology. In this technology, the modified SONAR systems are used for communicating with small drone-submarines. Those systems allow operating inside the caves and shipwrecks by using remote-controlled miniature submarines.
That system is actually very similar, what was used to take fascinating pictures inside of shipwreck of ocean liner R.M.S Titanic. That system, what was used to take original pictures of that ocean liners inner space was used wires to communicate small Jason robot and Alvin submarine. But there is many limits in this kind of system, what uses cables to control that robot. The modified sonar system, what is used to communicate with modern midget submarines is actually the same kind of underwater telephone, what is used to communication between naval vessels. In this system would the modem just being installed to that underwater telephone.
Underwater modem system would use also LRAD-equipment, what makes possible to send the sound to the drone by using the very thin beam of the voice. Underwater modems are basically same, what are used in 1980's and 1990's. But modern technology makes them faster. If we are talking about scientific drones, what are used to search inside space of shipwrecks, they can also equipped with inertial or gyroscope navigation system, what allows them to record the route, and if the SONAR-communication would cut, the drone would drive it's route back to the point, where it takes the contact. Those systems can also make the train, where those drones would use together as the relay drones, what allows them to operate in very complicated spaces.
There is one big benefit for voice communication compared with LASER-based systems. Lasers need visual contact between transmitters, and if this drone would land behind something, what denies the are contact between transmitters would the communication shut down. When we are talking about military versions of that kind of equipment, we can imagine the small size submarine, what is following some ship below it.
In this scenario the nuclear powered miniature submarine, what could actually be like U.S Navy's Swimmer Delivery Vehicle, but it can be powered by RTG or radio thermal generator, but they can also use conventional power sources like power cells. In those situations, the most effective fuel for those power cells is hydrogen, because it keeps the electrodes clean. That submarine can be carried torpedoes or small submarine launch missiles, and it can be operated from nuclear submarines or surface warships. That submarine can also use to operate with combat scuba diving missions because those torpedoes can be installed outboard its hull.
Deep dived drones can re-arm by using similar CURV or controlled underwater recovery vehicle drone submarines, what are using in underwater rescue missions. So in this kind of cases, the drone can be called in the certain point to the ocean, and then combat diving team would get those men for the mission. Those miniature drone-submarines can deliver to operation from other submarines, they could travel to target independently, or they can drop from airplanes like C-5 or C-130. Or even shoot by rockets from space-centers. In the last case the is like Atlas would carry the drone by Earths orbiter, and then it would land like spacecraft and it can be equipped with thermal shield and parachutes.
Space delivery systems would be useful in the cases where need extremely fast reactions, like submarine accidents, where is needed extreme fast reaction to secure the wreck and it's top secret communication and other systems. Those drones can also use for intelligence missions to harbors. Underwater robots can also operate from ground stations, by using communication buoys. Those buoys can deliver from the satellites, and then the satellite can use that buoy as the relay-station for communication. Then the submarine can collect it from the sea because that would deny that equipment getting to unauthorized hands.

Strange holes in polar ice cap might have many explanations

In the North is found strange holes on the northern icecap. And there is one very strange but the natural explanation for those strange forms. The nuclear missile submarines are patrolling under the polar icecap and they would sometimes practice the missile launches thru the ice. During those exercises, the submarine would launch torpedoes to the ice for making holes, and then the missiles would shoot thru that hole. Another way to make that route for missiles is to use the warm water, what is boiled in nuclear reactors.
That would allow shooting missiles thru the ice in the crises and war. Nuclear submarines would patrol under the polar ice cap because the ice would isolate those vessels from the infrared surveillance, what comes from satellites. Also, use of surface ships, airplanes and helicopters for uncovering the location of the ballistic missile and cruise missile submarines is more difficult thru the ice than in open water. Airplanes are equipment, what can patrol very large areas, and the uncovering the submarines would be difficult. The use of sonar-buoys and other sensors is very difficult thru the ice. Only one problem with operating under the ice is that laser communication between submarines and satellites is impossible thru the ice, and if submarine would use laser communication system, must it make the hole into ice.
Maybe those holes are made also for Navy Seals and SPETSNAZ-troops operations on the icecap. During those missions, those troops would set some weather or intelligence systems on the ice or maybe they would return some scientific or military capsules like cameras to the country, what send it to space. Those missions are normally not public, and we must only guess, why those troops operate on the ice. And maybe they are practicing to return material like dropped airplanes and lost warheads with nuclear material in those simulated missions, where some satellite capsules would be taken under the custody. And for those missions there would be needed to make holes thru the ice.
