The omega-point. The ultimate end of the line.

French philosopher and Jesuit priest  Pierre Teilhard de Chardin (1881–1955). described the omega point like this. The universe can advance to complexity and knowledge only if something pulls it to complexity and awareness. Without the need, the creature will not turn complex. Without the need for complexity, the creature remains simple.

So Teilhard might mean that all are aware, intelligent, and complex creatures. Somehow are always forced to be complex, aware, and intelligent. Without force, the creature will not reach complexity, awareness, and intelligence.

Teilhard doesn't mention the thing that forces the creature to be intelligent having awareness and complexity. Only creatures, that are complex themselves can make complex things.

So the thing that creates the knowledge and complexity could be natural without awareness, like a thunderstorm. Or it can be the genome researcher who has the goal to make something like new species or superhuman. When the researcher selects genomes that need that kind of thing, that person forces the subject.

Being complex and creating complex things. The creature needs energy. Energy forms in Teilhard's theory are:

1) "Tangential Energy": energy that physics can measure.

2) "Radial Energy": spiritual energy which accumulates into a higher state as time progresses. That means the will to make complex things.

Another way to think about omega-point is to follow the road of Frank Tipler. Tipler's model for omega point is the case when the universe or gravitation collapses. That thing means the ultimate end of the universe. The omega point means the ultimate end of the line.

The omega point might mean the ultimate end of the research and development. In all technologies is the end. The end is that there is no way to develop technology anymore. When we think about the singularization of technology and biology. We can think of the futuristic race that has robot bodies.

But those bodies are controlled by cloned neurons. That kind of hybrid robot can be more intelligent than humans. There is the possibility that all those robots are forming the entirety where those robots interact by using WLAN communication.

But are those things the ultimate end of the R&D process of robotics and technical evolution? There is a possibility that the hybridization with living neurons and quantum computers is even more powerful. In this model, the hypercomputer can be the brain that is under the cloche.

And then there is the cloud of superpositioned and entangled electrons around those brains. That makes it possible that the quantum system can communicate straight with the brain. The neural structure's electromagnetic fields interact with those superpositioned and entangled particle pairs.

Theoretically, the size of this kind of system has not limited. When we think about the intelligent universe theory or model the plasma clouds around the stars can turn into quantum computers. And then if there are some intelligent creatures that brain electricity can interact with that plasma, that thing can be the most intelligent creature in the universe.

Dream of 15 min. towns. Can we make everything in 15 minutes?

Everybody knows the dream of 15 min. towns. In those towns, every service is 15 minutes trip away from home. But can we escalate that dream? Could 15 minutes city or 15 minutes urban area involve the idea that every service will happen in 15 minutes?

How realistic this model that everything happens in 15 minutes is? And could the most modern technology turn the global environment into 15 minutes entirety, where people can reach everything on Earth in 15 minutes?

That means we would go to the doctor in 15 minutes. We are waiting for the doctor for 15 minutes. And then we spent 15 minutes in the examination room. After the doctor, we go to the drugstore in 15 minutes and after 15 minutes. We have medicines in our hands. Could that thing be possible someday? We can call that vision the 15 minutes society. Everything happens in 15 minutes.

When we are building taller buildings. The reason for that is that price of land is high in urban areas. And we can make hybrid solutions for an environment where people are living in smaller areas. And shopping centers are connected to houses where people are living. That makes the use of time more effective.

And when those complexes are ready that solution decreases emissions. But the problem is that people might not ever go outside. And in the most extreme dystopic visions, those shopping-center-home hydrides are turning to independent states.

Maybe shopping centers are the service centers of tomorrow. And if the robots are making physical products people can work in the same building where they live and go shopping. There could also be things like public services like doctors. But of course, this kind of advancement means that people have fewer contacts with the outside world than ever before.

If we have the internet. We can click ourselves to another side of the Earth. Of course, we are not physically in there. But we can use VR screens that are giving us a real-looking vision of the environment. But the problem is that we are selecting information. We must not read things that do not please us. And that means we are missing the information that can be vital.

But can we travel physically around the world in 15 minutes? Or travel to any place on Earth in less than an hour?

When we think about things like hypersonic aircraft and hyperloop trains those things might transport us to any point on the Earth by using hypersonic transportation. New hypersonic systems use hydrogen fuel so they are not causing emissions. And the hypersonic VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) aircraft can take people to any location on the Earth in less than an hour.

But the "magnet loop" train could be a more powerful and faster transportation system than any other transporter invented before. The magnet loop is a particle accelerator that transports the train inside the vacuum tube.

The system uses magnetic levitation. And also magnets are pulling the train in that tube. Because there is a vacuum in the tube there is no friction. And that allows rising the speed of that system to be highly hypersonic. That kind of system can make it possible to make a new type of transportation that is faster than any atmospheric system before it.

Can we predict evolution?

Image above: Glowing corals entice nutrients like small water insects.

Why are species advancing? The reason for that is that the species must get nutrients. And they must get descendants. The challenge is that if the species is good prey for hunters it dies before it can make descendants. If the hunter is too dominating, it eats its food to end. And that thing can cause extinction. Same way, if some animal is a too easy target. That causes extinction.

For success, the species must ensure its nutrient source. Without nutrients, the species is gone. So, that's why corals are glowing. Glowing corals are a good example of how a thing that seems meaningless has a big role in evolution.

When we think about the reason why corals glow, we can answer that the glow of corals is meant to entice food. Because bioluminescence increases the nutrient level of corals higher than corals that are not glowing, that makes glowing corals stronger. And they will take over space from other corals. Sooner or later that thing causes the accumulation of genetic material that makes corals glow. That means corals are starting to glow brighter.

So we can think that maybe in the future glowing corals are turning more common than other corals. The reason for that is that those corals get more nutrients than their competitors. If shining coral is next to coral that has no shine the nutrient that is mostly small sea creatures will go to shining corals. And that decreases the nutrient level of that dark coral. And maybe someday shining coral gets all food.

This is one version of how we can predict evolution. But then we must realize that there are many types of evolution. This is one version of how we can predict evolution.

But then we must realize the thing, that evolution is not always biological. The next list includes a couple of examples of that thing.

1) Natural evolution. That is the regular advancement of the species.

2) Cultural evolution. That thing can increase the success of some species.

3) Technical evolution. When some system is turned old-fashion there is a need for a new and better system. One of the examples of technological evolution is the history of electricity.

4) Economic evolution. When some model in economics turns useless or too expensive. The new model replaces it. The modern economic model bases the growth that continues forever. But we know that this model is impossible. But economic evolution is an extremely large sector. So maybe I will return that thing later.

But also the development of other civil and military equipment is a good example of technical evolution. When a new product is entering marketing that product must answer to need. If the new product is superior, that means old products and models must step away from the new product.

When we are thinking about the problems of electric cars the first challenge was to turn the infrastructure so that electric cars can recharge their batteries The new equipment must have support. If there are no charge points for electric cars, there are no electric cars.

Light bulbs and electric stoves replaced gas lamps and stoves because electric lights and stoves are safer than gas versions. If somebody leaves the gas tap open, that thing turns the gas light and gas stove into thermobaric bombs. Electric light and stoves can cause a fire but they are not as dangerous as gas lamps and stoves.

The next big step in technology, environment, and culture is AI. AI can control the use of electricity and use of natural resources more effectively than ever before. And AI can turn life more comfortable than ever before.

Modern lights are using light diodes that decrease their use of electricity. And in future the artificial intelligence can control stoves. That system can see if is food ripe enough. And the system can control if the person is at home. That means stoves are part of the network. If the chef sees that something is missing, that person can visit the shop.

When the person will step out the door. The system says that the person is cooking and asks where that chef is going. When the chef says that he or she is going to shop the AI will calculate the time how long that thing takes. Then that system adjusts the temperature to the right level. The artificial intelligence can also ask when the person wants to eat, and then adjust the cooking temperature precisely right.

Also, the AI can ask what food the chef wants to make. And then it uses surveillance cameras for seeing if there is the right raw material in the cupboards. And then the system says that if something is missing. The AI can same way asking if a person wants to order those things from the shop. Or would that person want to go shopping?

When we are thinking about energy production we must realize one thing. We have developed energy transportation tools.

But there are no new energy sources since nuclear energy. The large-scale use of solar power is a new thing. Same way geothermic energy is a new thing. The fact is that nuclear power can be safer if the nuclear reactors are put in deep underground caves. If the reactor is hundreds of meters below the surface that protects it against terror strikes. That means that the reactor can place in the same depth as nuclear waste final disposal.
