A massive impact crater tells that asteroid that killed dinosaurs was not alone.

"Discovery of a large impact crater beneath the North Atlantic Ocean reveals that more than one asteroid could have spelled doom for the dinosaurs". (ScitechDaily.com/Massive Impact Crater Beneath the North Atlantic Reveals Dinosaur-Killing Asteroid Wasn’t Alone)

There is the possibility that the asteroid which killed dinosaurs was not alone. Or maybe that astroid crushed in pieces before it impacted on the ground. There is the possibility that only some part of that asteroid hit to Yucatan peninsula.

But it's possible that the Gulf of Mexico and Hudson's bay, along with Azov's sea form in the impact of large-size meteorites. The form of those bays tells that they could be the remnants of meteorite craters.  The fact is that the asteroid that killed dinosaurs was not the first or the last object that impacted Earth. Things like ice ages are also sometimes suspected to be the result of a meteor impact.

When somebody says that volcanic eruptions killed dinosaurs we must realize one thing. When a large-size meteorite impacts Earth. That thing forms an extremely deep crater. That crater can make a hole in the Earth's core. And then magma starts to flow away from the hole. The meteorites caused nuclear winter. But the fact is that there was more than one mass extinction during history.

When Earth was young there were more asteroids in our solar system. And that means that in the era before dinosaurs impacts were more usual than in modern times. When our solar system turns mature the number of asteroids decreases because of the impacts with planets. And that means the possibility that asteroid impacts on Earth are decreased. But that possibility still exists.

The Cambrian era and the mass destructions

The Cambrian explosion was the case in the history of Earth when the number of species was increasing with very high speed. This era was approximately 541 million years ago, and the end of this era was caused, that the number of animals and species was increasing. Those animals were eating the cells, what were the base of the ecosystem, and then the number of the cells were collapsed. Then the animals were dead in the first disaster on Earth. This is the major explanation for the first disaster and the beginning of the Ordovician period.

But as we might know, all mass disasters are causing because of the many reasons, and the decrease of food might cause also because the Oxygen was released into the water. The first organisms were anaerobic, and they were quite similar to the organisms that live near the "Black Smokers" in the deep under the ocean surface. Today some of those organisms, what are living in sulfur-hydrogens in the anaerobic environment can transfer their metabolism between aerobic and anaerobic, but the Cambrian organisms were not ever faced free Oxygen and that killed those cells. But there are many other theories, and one of those theories is, that some kind of climate-changing would advance the disaster. In some theories, the World was covered with thick cloud layer, what was vanished because those species cleaned the air, and then they were died because of the ultraviolet radiation.

The disaster of Ordovician destruction was opposite. Probably the meteorite was hit to the ocean, and then the world was covered by clouds, what started to rain, and then the temperature was decreased, what caused the death of most of the life forms. And the only couple of sharks, what lived in some lakes were kept the planet living, with the organisms, what lived near the Black Smokers. But another explanation of the mass destructions is, that some kind of viruses were released to the seas, and those viruses or spirochetes caused the death of those species. The virus is suspected also caused the destruction of the Dinosaurs.

When the meteorite hit the Yucatan peninsula or actually formed the Gulf of Mexico, the food production level of the Earth was decreasing, and the Dinosaurs were be exposed to the infections, what caused the death of those animals. The number of the Dinosaurs were decreasing before the meteorite, what is seen in the layers of the Earth.  And maybe the decreasing was caused the overhunting, and especially the T-rex might be caused by the collapse of the population of the mid-size Dinosaurs, and because it was too dominating, those animals actually eat their food, and when the food was gone, those beasts got hungry.

The meteorite caused the "nuclear winter", what killed flora from the Earth, and that was the seal for the Dinosaurs because the vegetarian Dinosaurs did not get the food, and they were hunted by the beasts. When the vegetarians were dead, the beasts started to eat together, and then their symptoms and parasites were transferred between the individuals. This caused the epidemics. Somebody believes, that the thing what caused the final destruction of the Dinosaurs is the similar cell, what we know as the macrophage. This cell is in the major role in our immune system, and maybe it would cause the disease if it would transfer to the Dinosaurs. We don't know, what kind of immune system those lizards had, but the reason, that the Mammals were so dominating against the lizards might not be caused only about the bigger brains.

Maybe Mammals were some way poisonous for the Dinosaurs, and the first Mammals were advanced at the Carboniferous period. So those animals were somehow immune against Dinosaurs like Raptors attack. When we are thinking, that the first Mammals were the size of the Cat, we might understand that the T-rex was not eating those Mammals, because they were too small. But Raptors were small, and they would not be eaten those small species, but the first Mammals ate the just eclosed Dinosaurs, and of course, their eggs were tasteful. That caused the loss of the population of Dinosaurs, but the end of those reptilians was the sum of many reasons, and there would not be only one reason, but the meteorite was the final point of that chapter of the history of Earth.
