Description for the time crystal is "a time crystal is a quantum system of particles whose lowest-energy state is one in which the particles are in a repetitive motion." (Wikipedia/time crystal). Time crystals can use as crystals for clocks that are operating in low-temperature conditions.

In that case, the time crystals would operate similarly to the quartz crystals in the regular clocks. They can adjust the oscillation circuit of the next-generation atom clocks. 

But they can also store data in quantum computers. And that thing makes them so interesting. The problem is that the quantum crystals require the minimum energy state that they can work. 

The minimum energy state means that the temperature in those quantum systems must be very low. The oscillation in those structures must be minimized so that the energy can circle in that quantum system. 

Tyme crystal is the material where atoms wobble "forever". Those wobbling atoms are transferring their energy to the quantum field around that structure. And then that energy is recycled back to those wobbling atoms. As I wrote before. Time crystals are the quantum versions of the perpetual motion machine. 

There is the possibility that time crystals can use as the quantum memory for quantum computers. But that thing requires that the time crystals can be linked together. And now that thing has happened. The ability to link two different time crystals together can be the most revolutionary thing in data storage since the invention of the USB stick. 

Because time crystals are recycling energy very effectively they can use as photovoltaic cells that can work in very low light. The time crystals can collect and tie energy in it if there is some kind of energy source. And that thing makes them useful for operating in extremely cold conditions and low levels of light.
