Can we trust AI?

    Can we trust AI?

Artificial intelligence is a tool that doesn't create information from emptiness. That means the AI uses data and information that already exists. If something or somebody changes information from the data sources that the AI uses, the AI gives wrong answers. The AI can use old-fashioned information. In the same way, a human can take an old book of facts from the shelf.

That is one thing that we must remember. The second thing is that most AI chatbots are owned by companies whose purpose is to bring profits for their owners. That causes a situation where some of the answers that the AI gives are customer-friendly. That means they are made to please customers, or people who pay for those chatbot services.

However, one of the most important aspects of using AI is that it is actually utilized incorrectly. But the question is, why is it used? Because it makes work more effective. That means people who work with the AI assistants have no time to think and check the answers that the AI gives. The prime focus in AI use is that it makes people do more work.

The modern business ecosystem has evolved over time, when all products were physical. That means the business ecosystem measures the effectiveness of the worker by simply calculating the number of work performances in a time unit. And that means the number of code lines that a programmer makes determines how effective that person is. And that means there is no time to analyze and think about the product that the AI makes.

This is the problem with AI. It makes people more effective, and it should leave time to make analyses about the product. But the problem is that if the AI allows the person to work at double speed, that gives the company leaders the opportunity to fire half the workers. That decreases costs.

When we talk about how AI makes things less effectively than a top-level programmer, we can find one very interesting question. If we analyze that argument closely, we face the claim that all programmers are top-level specialists. All programmers are top-level specialists. And another thing is that some workplaces are so hurried that they have no time to advise junior programmers. Sometimes old workers think that the young comrade is a competitor, and that makes the workplace atmosphere poisonous.

The person might not dare to ask for advice from workmates. And that causes firing. The thing is that the AI is a tool that can help people. But we must remember that this tool allows us to analyze and think about new possibilities, only if we give it that chance. But we must have time and willingness to check the data that the AI gives. And if we see the AI only as a tool that allows us to cut the personnel costs, that is not the way to make our working life easier.

If we just copy-paste texts that the AI makes. And don't even try to analyze that data, we don't increase trustworthiness in the company. That means we deliver the decisions to the AI. AI can also use old-fashioned datasets. Or it can use fake or falsified data. That means the AI makes mistakes in the same way as humans. It simply takes the wrong book from the shelf, and then that causes destruction or catastrophe.

The AI is not immune to fake information. The problem with propaganda home pages is that their page rank are raised by drumming it with net queries. That makes those homepages easier to find. The problem with those pages is this: they use .com or some other neutral terminal identifiers. So, those homepages are not easy to connect to China or Russia. They are operated from servers that are in Western countries. The operators use a remote control to control those servers that operate in Western sockets.

If the AI uses regular web browsing applications, that means it can select a propaganda page. The popular pages are always at the top of the page lists. And that thing means that the AI selects popular homepages. That decreases the AI's trustworthiness. The AI requires training. That training means that the users must set limits on what kind of sources those systems use.

How oligarchs can topple Putin without official authorities? (Earlier text continues)

The answer is that there is no official way how oligarchs can even topple Putin. The only thing that those people can make is hire contract killers. And that is the worst mistake that those people can do. If the FSB sees that kind of attempt. That thing causes very big troubles. Like ricin poisoning in the streets.

The oligarchs cannot arrest Putin. They cannot give commands to FSB. Because those people are without official prerogatives they cannot do anything legally. There is no way to resist or even say something that Putin doesn't want to hear. The thing is that the three stages of oligarchs mean that there is no way to make connections with Putin without the middleman.

The thing is that only the top oligarchs can speak straight with Putin. And the lower-level men must find somebody at a higher level to tell their business to Putin. That thing protects Putin very well against people who want to make something for him. Putin wanted to keep their distance from most oligarchs. But that thing doesn't mean that oligarchs are not under surveillance.

And nobody allowed to speak against Putin. If some oligarch wants to operate against Putin that person must have access to talk straight with Putin. And what would you think to happen if some friend of Putin would uncover an attempt to topple him? That thing would be a big disappointment. And in that case, the threat to Putin would be personal and concreate. That thing makes Putin a frightening person.

When we are thinking about the age of Vladimir Putin, nobody lives forever. That means that Putin might have 10-25 years of career before he turns too old being the leader of Russia. And if we think that Putin will rule Russia to the age of 95 all people will turn a little bit paranoid. So there is the possibility that when Putin turns old. That person might start to see conspiracies around him. And that thing can cause very bad problems with social relationships between Putin and his closest friends.

Do you trust AI?

At the beginning of this text, I must say that AI is a computer program. Computer programs are like machines. They cannot handle every problem on Earth. They meant to use for some certain purpose. And if we want to use some AI algorithm outside its operational sector, that thing causes catastrophe. The world is full of algorithms.

Some algorithms are meant to use for things like collecting marketing information from limited systems. The other AI systems are meant to control physical robots. So if we want to use AI for something. We must make sure that the program is meant for that purpose.

We must realize that if we want to use the marketing analysis programs for controlling robots that thing would cause disaster. If we want to improve the skills of AI. That requires more complicated code than the AI that has only one skill. Every single skill that the AI has must be programmed to that thing. Machine learning is making independently learning machines possible.

There are three types of learning machines.

1) Semi-automatic learning systems.

Whenever the system faces a new problem it calls the operator.  The operator makes the solution and stores that thing in the memory of computers.

X) Independently learning machines.

Those machines can create the databases automatically. And then those systems can automatically connect the database to a certain action series.

2) Hybride systems

Those systems can make the solution or connections between databases automatically. But if that system cannot find the database that fits the problem it can ask for assistance from the operators. That kind of system can respond to multiple problems.

Hybrid systems are close to the human way to learn things. If the system would not find a match for the case. It would not know how to respond to the case that it faces. In that case. The system will ask for help in solving the problem from the human operators.

Whenever the system gets the new answer for problems. That thing increases the data mass that the system can create more connections. And it turns more independent.

When the system is creating the solution. Or the controller solves a problem that solution stored in the memory of the artificial intelligence. for similar cases. That thing increases the number of skills of the AI.

There are two types of AI

1) Passive AI.

That system just collects data and analyzes it.

2) Active AI.

That system interacts with the real world. The system collects data from the sensors. Then it analyzes that data. And then it sends signals to the communication tool. That tool might be the traffic lights if the AI controls traffic.

The thing is that AI is not a stand-alone operating tool. The system requires tools like an internet connection or a physical robot for making things. If the AI is interacting with the real world.

It requires sensors and is connected to the sensors that it can get the data mass that it processes. But the AI needs the tool how to interact with the real world. If it controls things like traffic it needs a connection to the traffic lights. Without that connection, AI does not affect the real world.

All artificial intelligence programs or algorithms are meant to operate in certain sectors.

The thing in artificial intelligence is that it doesn't make mistakes. If we are saying that the AI makes mistakes. We can same way say that some regular programs like text-handling tools make mistakes. Every mistake that the AI makes is encoded in its code.

Another way that causes mistakes for the AI is that the data that the AI handles is somehow disturbed. If the sensor that sends data to AI is corrupted accidentally or in purpose. That means the data flow to the system is not relevant.

The corruption of the sensor means as an example,  that the camera might be dirty.  So that means the system would not get real information. When we are thinking about the trust of AI, we must realize that we must check every single part of the system. The code itself must be completed and tested. But cable connections and the function of the sensors are the same way the important things.

A couple of words about apologies

If somebody hurts you, you have the right to expect an apology. When somebody says sorry to us, that person should not expect that we forgive the thing that person made. Real excuses mean that the person who says "sorry" changes the way to act. Saying "sorry" is not apologize if the person continues that behavior.

That means an apology is always made by a person self, who made the wrong thing. Not by secretaries of those persons. Apologizing is limited to the thing that person makes.

If the person steps accidentally to another person's feet, in that case, the word "sorry" is enough. If bones are not broken because of that thing. "Sorry" means just sorry without increments like "stupid". The phrase "sorry stupid" is not feeling good. Or not even an apology.

That person should not buy Roll's Royce to the victim, not even me. Just word sorry is enough. But sometimes we are facing persons who are not apologizing for anything. They are yelling get out my way. And after that blame others that they kept their feet in the wrong places.

Perhaps some people who shout at other people against their faces have spouses who die because of cancer. But not all people who shout racist and disgusting comments have cancerous half-parties at home.

And the words that these individuals sometimes use. Still do not feel good about the people targeted by them. They may justify their behavior in such a matter, but the fact is that insulting words hurt.

Real apologizing means that it is targeted to the person who is hurt. Not to the father of that person. Asking "sorry" is pointed always to the person who is hurt. And the thing is that it should not think as a truism. I hope nobody expects that the word "sorry" would just mean that the bullying and bad things that continued even years are suddenly forgotten when somebody says "sorry".

What are VX and BZ chemical agents?

Kimmo Huosionmaa

The poison of the Skripal-case was sprayed to the door of those persons. And there would be one great question, what actually that poison was? If the used poison were the VX-nerve agent, we must say, that those victims would ever get out from the house. VX-nerve agent is actually liquid and water-like poison, what boils at 300 degrees Celsius. Nerve-agent is somehow very unstable, and in some sources are mentioned that deadly dose of that super-poisonous chemical can form in the room temperature.

The deadly dose is metered by the sucking that chemical thru the skin. Also, the smallest drops of that organic phosphate cause death. The symptoms of the poison begin immediately, and that makes the walking impossible. BZ-nerve agent is the nonlethal LSD-based psycho-active hallucinogen, what has the purpose to make enemy unable to operate, what makes easy to take those persons to the prisoner or destroy them. BZ is also used in some test, where soldiers ability to use protective suits and chemicals have been tested.

In those test, the BZ- or LSD-chemicals would deliver to the air, and if soldiers would see some colors, their attempt to use the gas protecting suits were failed.  That chemical was tested in Edgewood Arsenal and in some tests of MKULTRA, and the purpose of last tests was tested this hallucinogen suitable for interrogations. Also that chemical or LSD were used in tests, where were tested the military personnel able to make reports if they would get some strange symptoms. In those tests, the military personnel was given drink, where was LSD, and if they would answer that they would not feel any strange symptoms, they would mark as unstable. Below this test films from similar tests from Czechoslovakia.

But when we are thinking about the situation, that somebody would use VX or BZ-chemical agents in this attack, we must say that this person needs very good protective gear, what is planned for use with this kind of nerve-agents, and VX would penetrate normal chemical weapon protection suit, and of course the user might get atropine-injections, but in this case must the user be sure, that nowhere in the skin or clothes would leave any remains of that nerve gas. And if the spray would deliver to near the point, what was sprayed, would that cause the terrible situation, where some outsiders would die because of that chemical. BZ can cause psychotic symptoms and that might cause the violent behavior.
