During REM (Rapid Eye Movements) sleep, our brains and minds are in the dream world.



The REM dream is the moment when people see a dream. There is one big difference between a dream and normal imagination. 

In the daytime, we can make difference between imagination and reality. But somehow dreams are always real to us. And that's why we can call that thing a "dream world". The question in the dreams is why we cannot separate them from reality. Nightmares can wake us and that makes us tired in the morning. So why we cannot make that difference with dreams and reality when we sleep?

Dreams are causing similar psychosomatic feedback as reality. The nightmares cause strong feedback. And in some cases sleep paralysis caused even death for people during nightmares. 

REM is very important for people so that they feel fresh in the morning. Without REM periods people feel tired. The thing is that during sleep our memory is cut off. And we are hard to remember our dreams. Sometimes researchers are introduced that dreams are things that are releasing all our brain resources for productive work. And whose purpose is to analyze what happened in the daytime. 

But why we cannot remember what happens during sleep? The REM periods are timed just after the beginning of sleep. And then another REM period happens just before the person wakes up. So the purpose of REM might be to test connections in the human brain. But some people believe that REM's purpose is to wipe out things that happen in the human brain during the delta or deep sleep period. 

The delta- or deep-sleep period is the longest period during sleep. And that thing is one of the last frontiers in the brain. There is a theory that during that period the brain is searching for things from the DNA memory and, of course, loads neurotransmitters for the next day. 

We know that all periods of sleep are important. The REM period is only a short moment of sleep. So many secrets are waiting for solving in the human brain. 

Dream research is an interesting thing. The nightmares are connected with things like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. Bad dreams are telling that something is not right in the human body. But the problem is how to confirm what kind of dreams people are seeing. The test person might not remember things that they see because memory is switched off while people are sleeping. 

That thing makes dreams interesting. Why we must not remember things that we see in the dream world? REM dream is an interesting thing. But also delta dream plays a big role in dreams. Maybe the neuro-implants and ability to decode the EEG make someday possible to see things that people see when they are dreaming. But before that dream research bases the will to tell what people are seeing during sleep.
