Suicidal attempts might have a connection with genetic disorders.
"In the largest genetic study. Of suicide attempts to date. Researchers have identified a region. The genome on chromosome 7 contains DNA variations. That increases the risk that a person will attempt suicide". (1)
That disorder in that genome is interesting because there is the possibility that this genome has a connection with other types of destructive behavior. Can use of drugs, destructive alcohol problem or smoking problem the reason for the genomes, that drives person self-destruction.
I mean cases where even lung cancer or liver cirrhosis would not make a person stop smoking or drinking. That thing means that there must be some kind of genetic disorder that causes this kind of behavior.
The thing that makes the suicidal behavior "interesting" is that all people who have mental disorders or who are somehow depressed or lost everything don't make suicide. So there is the possibility that it is a genetic disorder that will drive people to that tragedy.
So the suicide would be a connection with outcoming pressure and a genetic disorder. And then we might want to get more data about that thing. If we are thinking that some people have suicide genomes, there is the possibility that this thing is also connected with another type of self-destructive behavior.
Could there be something that uncovers that dangerous genome? One of the things that could uncover the genetic disorder that causes self-destructive behavior could be the records there are connected to the data about cigarette smoking, use of drugs, and alcohol. If some genetic disorder starts the self-destructive process or behavior. There must be some signs of that kind of thing.
The research where the age of begin smoking or use of drugs and alcohol would collect from the people who made suicide. Genetic samples can help to predict and understand that behavior.
In that process, researchers are seeking similar sequences from the DNA. That is taken from people who decided to destroy their life. And then they would compare the data of the lifestyle of those people. The interesting data is overspeeding, drunk driving, and other destructive and dangerous things that a person makes "for fun".
